Keaco Reaffirms Commitment to Manufacture Carrier Tape in the United States

Schertz, TX – July 14, 2004 - Today Keaco, Inc. reaffirmed their long standing commitment to manufacture carrier tape products in the United States.  “Some of the competition has decided to move their manufacturing facilities to Asia in order to be closer to the lion’s share of the business.  Keaco believes that the customers that remain in North America will continue to need quick inexpensive tool turns, uninterrupted just in time deliveries and to be able to quickly and reliably respond to sudden spikes in business volume which are so common in our industry.  You simply cannot be at the mercy of a potential longshoreman strike or excessive lead-times.  The level of service our North American customers expect can only be handled efficiently by a North American based production facility”, stated Mark Keatts, President and founder of Keaco.
